Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for one-time permit reports and PermitVista Membership subscriptions. Please read it before purchasing.
1. All Sales Are Final
All purchases on PermitVista are final and non-refundable, except in the specific cases described in sections 5 and 6 below.
2. One-Time Permit Reports — $2.99
A one-time purchase unlocks the permit records for a single property address and allows you to download a permit history report in PDF form. Reports are delivered instantly and are non-refundable.
Before you pay, you can see how many permits exist for the address you searched. You never pay for an address with no permit records on file.
3. PermitVista Membership — $19.99 per month
A Membership provides unlimited permit searches and unlimited report downloads for the duration of each billing period. The first month is charged when you subscribe.
You may cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us. Cancelling stops all future charges, and you keep access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. We do not refund partial billing periods.
4. Renewal Charges
Memberships renew automatically each month until cancelled. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel before your renewal date. Renewal charges are non-refundable.
5. Billing Errors
If you are charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged an incorrect amount, contact us and we will refund the error in full. Billing errors are not subject to any time limit.
6. Failed Delivery
If you paid and did not receive what you purchased — for example, the report failed to generate or the download did not work — contact us. We will fix the problem, and if we cannot, we will refund the purchase.
7. Coverage
PermitVista compiles building permit records held by Florida city and county building departments. Coverage varies by jurisdiction. Where an address is not covered, we tell you before you pay and no charge is made.
Permit records are compiled from public sources. For a purchase, closing or legal matter, we recommend confirming permit status directly with the relevant building department.
8. Contact Us First
If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us before going to your bank. Billing errors are resolved faster directly, and we aim to respond within 2 business days.

9. Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely by Square. Charges appear on your card or bank statement as SQ *PERMITVISTA LLC. PermitVista never sees or stores your card number. Any refund issued under sections 5 or 6 is returned to the original payment method and typically appears within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the terms in force at the time of your purchase apply to that purchase.
