Refund Policy
Thank you for using PermitVista.com. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available for one-time permit reports and for PermitVista Membership subscriptions. Please read it before purchasing.
1. 14-Day Refund Window
You may request a refund within 14 days of your purchase. This applies to both one-time permit report purchases and subscription payments.
To request a refund, email jbush@permitvista.com with the email address used at purchase and the property address you searched. You do not need to give a reason.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing is handled by our payment provider, Paddle, and typically takes 5–10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your bank.
2. One-Time Permit Reports — $2.99
A one-time purchase unlocks the permit records for a single property address and allows you to download a permit history report in PDF form.
Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase. If you have already downloaded your report, we may ask what was wrong with it — but a download alone does not disqualify you from a refund inside the 14-day window.
We will always refund a purchase where:
- The report was generated for the wrong property address
- The report failed to generate, or the download link did not work
- You were charged more than once for the same address
- The permit data returned was materially inaccurate
3. PermitVista Membership — $19.99 per month
A Membership provides unlimited permit searches and unlimited report downloads for the duration of the billing period.
If you have not used the Membership, you may request a full refund at any time before the end of the 14-day window. "Used" means you have run a search or downloaded a report as a subscriber. If you subscribed and have not yet used the service, you are entitled to a full refund of that billing period.
If you have used the Membership, you may still request a refund within 14 days of the charge and we will review the request in good faith.
You may cancel a Membership at any time from your account or by emailing us. Cancellation stops all future charges. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
4. Renewal Charges
Memberships renew automatically each month until cancelled. Each renewal charge carries its own 14-day refund window from the date of that charge.
If a renewal charge was unexpected — for example, you intended to cancel and did not — contact us and we will refund the most recent charge, provided the renewed period has not been substantially used.
5. Billing Errors and Duplicate Charges
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, charged twice, or charged after cancelling, contact us and we will investigate. Confirmed billing errors are refunded in full, and this is not limited to the 14-day window.
6. Technical Problems
If you cannot access something you have paid for, contact us before requesting a refund — most issues can be resolved quickly, including re-sending an expired download link.

7. Coverage and Data Availability
PermitVista compiles building permit records held by Florida city and county building departments. Coverage varies by jurisdiction, and some jurisdictions do not publish permit data at all. Where an address is not covered, we tell you before you pay and no charge is made.
A search that returns no permits for a covered address is a legitimate result, not a failed purchase — some properties genuinely have no permit history on file. If you believe records exist that we did not return, contact us and we will check and refund if we were wrong.
8. Chargebacks
If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first. We would much rather refund you directly than have you go through your bank — it is faster for you and simpler for us. We aim to respond to refund requests within 2 business days.
9. Payment Processing
Payments for PermitVista are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle’s own Buyer Terms and Conditions also apply to your purchase. Where this policy offers you more than Paddle’s terms require, this policy applies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the refund terms in force at the time of your purchase are the ones that apply to that purchase.
